Technical pre-requisites

Merlin is a web application delivered over the internet; to access the service you will need to ensure that you are connected to the internet.
 
We would also recommend that a PC with the following system specifications (or better) is used:

• Windows XP and later or Mac OS X 10.4 and later 
   
• 2Gb of free disk space
   
• CPU – 2.2Ghz or faster processor
   
• 1Gb RAM
   
• Microsoft® Internet Explorer 7 or 8

Training pre-requisites

Adopting a Learning Platform will be different for everyone, because everyone will have a different starting point and want to achieve different goals. Recognising where you are starting from and what you want to achieve is an important first step.

2. A clear understanding of what you want  Merlin to do for your school community
    
3. An action plan that details how you will support and train users.
