Merlin?
Merlin is a learning platform that makes the most of technology, without being techie. It's an interactive online resource that links students, teachers, parents, carers, governors, local authorities – and the whole wide world if you like.
New to Merlin!
Merlin has been conjuring ways on how to make the experience of our users even better, even more informative and even more enlightening for all stakeholders in the learning lives of pupils; therefore, we are delighted to release the next step towards our vision of a next generation online platform. Merlin’s latest update builds on the success of allowing users to personalise their use of Merlin in school and at home. It will provide schools with tools to support families to help their children learn, as well as providing intelligent reporting mechanisms and enhancing the pastoral care of their pupils. The new update will provide parents with a new, simplified interface to access information about behaviour, assessments and SEN, progress and targets, as well as a dedicated link to a parents’ space and opportunities to inform the school of changes to details by means of a communications button, all of which enhances the engagement and support of parents.
The new establishment theme builder is also part of the upgrade, allowing schools to create their very own theme and make it available for all users to select, including any public spaces that may exist! Administrators can use school photographs or pupil designs as a resource with which to build the theme that best reflects your school. The ability to reset your own forgotten password and updates to Individual Learning Plans have already proved a resounding success in schools around the region and we know these further improvements will be just as popular with our fantastic users!
